To celebrate the release of his debut album, ‘heatwaves & cold greetings’, Theo Lear will be performing at the Solomon Browne Hall in his childhood home of Mousehole as the last stop on this mini tour.
‘heatwaves & cold greetings’ is Theo Lear’s debut album. A coming-of-age story of heartbreak. An exploration of friendship, love, vulnerability, joy, confusion, naivety, and isolation. Despite its somber themes, this 10-track record radiates a lofi, closely mic’ed haze of optimism—driven by snappy drum grooves, lush instrumental arrangements, and flickers of lyrical humour. Though steeped in melancholy, Theo’s music ultimately looks outward with a quiet, unwavering hope.
The project is rich through the friends and collaborators that contributed to it including artists FLOCO and Big Warm Bed. The album was mixed by Tom Orrell of Nave Studios and mastered by Grammy Winning Sam Okell at Zennor Sounds. It will be released five years after the journey to making this work began.
