Solomon Browne Hall partners with Age Uk
19 August 2026

We’re delighted to have started a new partnership with Age UK, providing opportunities for local residents to get out and about together following the changes to bus services in Mousehole.

The relocation of the village bus stop has created additional challenges for some residents, particularly those with mobility difficulties who may find the walk to the new stop difficult. With fewer accessible transport options available, getting into Penzance and accessing shops, services and social opportunities can be much harder.

Our first trip with the Age UK minibus was a wonderful opportunity to begin addressing this. Residents from the village were able to choose where they wanted to go, and the group decided on a trip to Morrisons for a bit of shopping, and some lovely lunch.

We’re hoping these trips will become regular opportunities for members of our community to enjoy new experiences, maintain their independence and stay connected with others.

Our next trip is planned for a Wednesday in September, with the exact date still to be confirmed. We’ll share more details as soon as they are available.

Okay, thank you
