WELCOME
Welcome to the Solomon Browne Memorial Hall in Mousehole, Cornwall.
The hall is a beautifully renovated old Net Loft in the heart of Mousehole. It is a central point for the community to meet, learn about our unique heritage here in Mousehole, and take part in the many events, classes and workshops that we host here. The hall is also available to hire for private events.
Attending events, booking the hall or buying something from our cafe all go towards funding our programme of community events in Mousehole, which aim to reduce isolation and support wellbeing in our community.
We are finally able to share the exciting news that the Mousehole Heritage and Archive Centre will be opening from 24th June 2024.
With thanks to Shared Prosperity Funding from the Community Levelling Up Programme, we have been able to transform the ground floor of the Solomon Browne Hall into a beautiful new space for locals and visitors to learn more about the fascinating history of Mousehole.
With our partners ‘Mousehole Archive and Research Group’, we have created a new home for Mousehole related Archive material and historical artefacts. Our first exhibition is based on the ‘history of Mousehole’s harbour’.
We are so pleased to have this brilliant resource here in the Solomon Browne Hall, and for the Mousehole Archive group to have their long awaited home!
We are currently working on a new website where you will be able to find out more information and updates on the Heritage Centre, but in the meanwhile, please check out our facebook page for the latest updates and opening times.
