Stuffing their pockets with foot-stomping melodies, rhythmic curiosity and unusual tonality, Finnish-Swedish fiddle player Ville Syri and Helsinki-based Cornish Accordionist Tommie Black-Roff unite over a love for traditional Swedish and Finnish melodies, dance & storytelling. Stuffed Pockets, Ville & Tommie’s debut album presents a whimsical, improvisatory approach to a music that is steeped in cross-border dialogue and tradition.
The ‘Stuffed Pockets’ album launch tour is the duo’s first outing to the UK. Come to Mousehole this Spring to hear local accordionist Tommie Black-Roff’s latest international collaboration.
